Happy Easter!!

To all our family and friends out there I hope you had a joyous celebration on Easter Sunday!  Remember to continue to rejoice and celebrate in Christ's resurrection everyday!  I've been holding this post waiting for our pictures to get uploaded, but it hasn't happened yet, so this is the only picture we have right now.  We have this picture because a friend of ours took it at church and e-mailed it to me, since our camera died . :)  Thanks Jim and Lorraine!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday filled with lots of activity!  We woke up to tracks of eggs throughout our house that lead to six different Easter baskets full of goodies.  Yes, the Easter Bunny brought a basket full of toys, books and shoes for Andrew too!  All the kids enjoyed being able to eat candy in the morning and playing with the other treasures in their Easter baskets for a bit before we had to begin preparing for Church.

The Children's Choir sang at Mass this included Gabriel, Josiah and Marie Elizabeth.  I always love going to Mass on Easter morning.  It's such a wonderful celebration after the long Lenten season.  I do miss that our current Parish doesn't have added musicians for Eater Sunday Mass.  Several of our old Parishes would add trumpets, violins, and other musicians on Easter.  I always thought it added to the joyous celebration of the Resurrection!  Regardless - the children sang beautifully and it was a joyous celebration!  Gabriel cantored the Psalm to a PACKED church!  Those kids got more guts than I do :).

We then went and spent a delightful afternoon at our friends, the Bennet's.  They fried a Turkey.  Oh my goodness - it was so yummy!!  I had never had fried Turkey before, but had heard of people doing it.  I know it's not the best for you, but mmmmmmmmm!!  The kids had a blast swimming most of the afternoon while the adults hung around the pool chatting, and trying to stay out of the fire of the water cannons getting shot.  Jon did get in the water with all the kids and they had a massive water fight.  We returned home by bedtime with some very tired kids.

We missed celebrating with family, but are blessed to have wonderful friends to celebrate with!  Every Easter we have had in Texas has been enriched by sharing it with blessed friends.  Since Peanut was baptized on Easter two years ago - it's made Easter even that much more special!!  Great memories!  I pray the joy of the Resurrection will fill your days during this wonderful Easter season and be remembered throughout the year!!
